The fire hydrant box roll forming line is a dedicated line for manufacturing three‑sided (back + left + right walls) steel enclosures for fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, and hose reels. These boxes are typically recessed into walls or surface‑mounted in buildings, requiring a strong, rigid, and corrosion‑resistant structure. Roll forming the back and sides in one piece eliminates welding seams, increasing strength and reducing production time.

Why three‑side forming?

Traditional fire boxes are made from separate panels welded together – labor‑intensive and prone to distortion. One‑piece U‑shaped roll forming produces a seamless, warp‑free enclosure with consistent dimensions, simplifying assembly and improving appearance.

Production process:

Uncoiling – Motorized uncoiler (5‑10 tons), coil width up to 800mm.
Straightening – Leveling rolls.
Servo punching – Creates hinge holes, lock slots, pipe entry knockouts, and mounting bracket holes.
Edge flanging – Forms flanges on the front edges for door frame attachment.
Roll forming – 12‑14 passes gradually bend the flat sheet into a U‑channel (back + two sides).
Corner notching (optional) – Creates relief notches for bending side flanges.
Cut‑off – Flying shear cuts to box height (±0.5mm).
Stacking – Automatic stacker.
